Write the XHTML and CSS code for the Photoshop mock-ups that you created for the first assignment.
Using your mock-up(s), build the code for 2 of the pages. Those two would include (1) the main home page and a second page (form page, image gallery, article page, product page, etc... NO welcome pages that don't have any content!)
Things I'll be checking for:
If for whatever reason, your Photoshop mock-ups did not work out visually, take this opportunity to show off your coding skills and make use of the project to make a visually appealing website that is closely based on the mock-up. This will also help build up your portfolio. Or perhaps you may want to rebuild or redesign your original PSD file.
It could be argued that most design could come down to a subjective decision on whether or not I think the page looks good or not, I will give extra points for more complex designs.
Start thinking about how your page will be built. As web developers we often have to search on our own and find ways around web design problems. So, in case we don't cover everything in the coming classes, I would recommend searching the web for ways to solve an issue. There's many online resources for CSS code.
In this class, I believe, we are really after results, so use this opportunity to build a professional level website if you can.
Due: November 9, 2010. Please submit this assigment via Blackboard.
