Using Adobe Photoshop, create a series of static mock-up webpages. The subject matter can be anything you want. Some ideas for this could be a web blog, a fake bookstore or clothing store, a news page or technology site, etc. This may also be a good opporunity for you to redesign the real website already assigned to you in Bernie's course.
To clarify, this won't be a functional website, it will just be an image that has been created in Photoshop, to make it look like a real website. Working with such website mock-up images are quite common in the workplace and it's good practice to get to know how to use Photoshop in this way.
The design you build should fit the now standard 1024 pixel screen width.
Create a series of 3 pages. The first page in the series would be the main landing page or homepage. The additional pages could be:
What to include in the mock-ups:

When designing this, you may want to think about about how much scrolling is involved. Is it a long page? Does important content appear above the fold?
Keep in mind, and I mentioned, whitespace is good but there's a difference between good use of white space and empty and incomplete page designs.
If you're having trouble getting started, think simple, clean, and uncluttered.
I'm looking for one final Photoshop file (.psd) including all layers. Organize your layers, layer folders, text and graphics accordingly. Rasterize text or create outlines of any unusual fonts to maintain a consistent design throughout different computers. Be consistent with your design and layouts.
Save each of your 3 page designs as a JPG and be sure to zip all contents including all .psd files. Please name the folder with your first and lastname. (Don't forget to upload a Zip folder, no RAR files please.)
Due: October 12, 2011. Please submit this assigment via Blackboard.
